basisinburgering examen

MVV  (Machtiging Voorlopig Verblijf) 2013

Before a buitenlander ( a foreign national ) can stay longer than 30 days, He / she must passed the MVV exam.
I took the exam last January 23, 2013 in the Dutch Embassy in Manila, Philippines. Fortunately i passed the exam.! The exam consist of three parts:

1. KNS -The knowledge of dutch society which consist  30 questions derive from honderd vragen  (100 questions)
The photos will be shown and you have to answer after the question.

2.TGN- (Toets gesproken Nederlands )  , consist of 4 sub parts:

10 Luister en zeg na ( Listen and repeat )
             10 Korte Vragen ( Short questions )
10 Luister en zeg na ( Listen and repeat )
             10 Tegenstellingen ( Opposites )

Mostly this part is found to be a difficult part , there are lange zinnen ( long sentences ) but the technique is just say the words that you hear and you get a point. In addition, you just have to focus during the exam.

Additional part of the exam are two stories that you have to repeat by yourself base on your understanding. You have to tell the story in dutch as well, But no worries, this has no point at all.

3. GBL-( Geletterheid en Begripend lezen ) consist of 3 parts:

             Part 1  Reading

                    1:1  Words reading
                    1:2  Sentences reading
                    1:3  Text reading

Part 2  Anvullen ( Fill in the blanks )

2:1     28 Sentences that you have to select the correct answer out of three words.

           Part 3  Reading Story

This part, you have to read the story silently and answer the questions afterwards, this is just easy since most of the answers was found in the story itself.

I was really happy when i passed the exam , Now im just waiting for the advice of the IND in the netherlands if they grant the request of my boyfriend for me to stay in his country and be with him longer. Its been 1 month now since he file that mvv request.
Crossed fingers that they have  " POSITIVE ADVICE "

If someone read this one, just feel free to leave a comment if you want to ask something!!
success!
